Vaccine Lawsuit Could Devastate WV–Show Up for Critical Hearing July 24

RSVP Now to Stand With WV Kids

West Virginia is at a pivotal moment for public health.

On Thursday morning, July 24, a preliminary court hearing will take place at the Raleigh County Courthouse, challenging our state’s strong childhood immunization requirements. This lawsuit, led by RFK Jr.’s anti-vaccine ally Aaron Siri, could open the door to dangerous exemptions that put children, schools, and communities at risk.

We need your voice. Your presence. Your support.

Why does it matter? When supporters of science and strong public health policies show up, lawmakers, judges, and the media take notice. Anti-vaccine activists will be there—loud and organized. We need to show that they don’t speak for most West Virginians. A visible, united presence in the courtroom and outside sends a powerful message: our communities believe in vaccines, we value facts, and we are about protecting every child.

West Virginia Families for Immunizations is a coalition of parents, healthcare professionals, educators, and advocates standing for evidence-based public health policies. We believe every child deserves a safe, healthy school environment. We trust science, reject misinformation, and are committed to protecting the vaccine policies that have safeguarded West Virginians for generations. Wear blue with us to show your support for vaccines, WV kids, and public health.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Be there: Join us outside the Raleigh County Courthouse by 9am on Thursday, July 24 (hearing begins at 10:00 AM).

  • Wear blue: Show solidarity and support for vaccines and public health

  • Spread the word: Forward this email and invite others to join you

  • Stay connected: Follow WV Families for Immunizations on socials @wvfams4imm

Let’s show up and make it clear: West Virginians support science, vaccines, and safe schools.

In solidarity,

Jessie & Sissy
